Walk for a beautiful and active
surrounded avenue of beautiful buildings that
reflect modalities of century principles.
It can be made preferably on foot and in short of week, avoiding the intense

The opening of the Av. of May began in 1889 to quick rhythm and the first tract
surrendered - to the public in 1894. It is due to Torcuato of Alvear, the first
intendant from Buenos Aires, and it was projected by Juan Buschiazzo. Their purpose
was to unite the Square of May and the Square of the Congress in a monumental
perspective that shows, as two poles of attraction, to the main institutions
