Rafting in Aluminé river

This walk allows to carry out rafting in the river Alumine in the famous corridor of the lakes

This river is born in the Lake Aluminé that are the first two lakes of the "Corridor of The Lakes" descending from north to south next to the lake Moquehue and being divided in four well differentiated sections:

First Section

It is an itinerary of 18km. Of class 3-4 very strong and technician.

In winter and spring, until ends of December it allows the practice of Kayak and rafting; then their so much low flow that in some sectors they don't allow the step of the rafts.

They deserve mention some very well-known rapids as: Escoda, Relen, Cheuquellan, the Cañadon, the slalom hint, Waikiki , Rebolledo, the gangplank and the well of the island.

As the season advances the starting point it goes changing, shortening the circuit until in February it is only possible to navigate 4 or 5 km .

Second section

This very extensive section, of more than 35 km . Going by Aluminé, until the vicinities of Abra Ancha with wide piletones and quick class 1- 2. In this sector they are carried out floated family (floating) or of fishing, they spend two or three quick class II, alternating with long piletones of great depth being able to leave from the bridge the Affection or from the Ceferino, arriving to Aluminé after three or four hours of sailing, according to the time of the year. From Aluminé the river continues for about seven or eight Km. With the same characteristics until the point where the denominated Circuit begins Abra Ancha , the only one where it can be practiced kajak and rafting during the whole year.

Third section

This section of about 5 or 6 km long are totally different to the previous ones, going by the deep cañadón of the "curve of the cypress". A series of quick class II, II+ that added to the environment of rockfaces, cypresses, small beaches of withe sand, make a very interesting walk of around an hour and a half.

Fourth section

The last section is from Abra Ancha until its union with the River Chimehuin forming the Collón Curá. The river gets wider, the straight line are but you release and the biggest depths, making it but I propitiate for the fishing. They deserve a special mention some rivers or sectors of other rivers of the area, as the Ruca Choroi of 30 km and 350 m of difference.

This area of the river is excellent, with good flow, with the exception that sometimes closes a lot for the sallows of the bank and the sailing is not allowed in fishing season.

The river Pulmarí also has some very good sectors, as the denominated Collahue and the estrechura of Ñanco. Other rivers worthy of mention are: the Litran, the one Tastes Lil, the Picún Leufú and the Quillén.
