It can opt among traveling for the freeway Estanislao López, quick and with payment of tolls, or for the RN11 that Coronda runs beside the river and it crosses small towns, what allows to know the county better.
I scheme of 164 km from Rosario to Santa Fé. Both routes have intense traffic. Supply in diverse points along the itinerary. Toll payment for the freeway in km 30 and 148. Fuel in the points indicated in Grenadier Baigorria, Captain Bermúdez, San Lorenzo , Timbúes and Oliveros, Maciel, Monk, Arocena, Saint Took and Santa Fé.

 

Leave the square May 25 in Rosario (km 0) toward the RN11 down the street Buenos Aires . Leave San Lorenzo for the RN 11 and in the km 40 will go by the town of Timbúes, the RN11 then crosses the town of Oliveros, in the km 52, where the Station of the Railroad (MHP) it is today the House of the Culture. There are several places for camping site and recreation.

Coronda

 

These lands, in front of the river Coronda, belonged in a principle to Juan of Garay and then they had several proprietors. Toward 1709, a small land was given to get up in him a chapel whose construction began in 1720. To their surroundings one of the few populations that existed in this Sector during the colonial period was born. It was attacked several times by malones, one of them in 1723. In 1742 you creó the Rectory of Coronda.

After the Revolution of May they got rid important combats in their vicinities. May 2 1821 disembarked in the surroundings the general entrerriano Francisco Pancho. Ramírez, with the objective of invading the county. In their advance toward the south defeated the general Lamadrid and then to Dorrego. Then it intervened the governor brigadier directly Estanislao López who conquered Ramírez May 25 in the vicinities of the Villa of Coronda.

In that time, the town was designated head of the department San Jerónimo, first one of the four in that the provincial territory was divided. In 1867 the government of the county, exercised by Nicasio Oroño, was founded in the proximities the colony Corondina, taking charge the own government of the allotments of lands and the tackle provision, owing the colonists to reinstate them after three years. In 1883 city was declared. Coronda is today the center of an area dedicated to the cultivation of the strawberry.

Continuing for Sarmiento, when arriving at 9 of Julio will find the house where Alfonsina inhabited Storni, the famous Argentinean poet.

 

Events

 

National party of the Strawberry is carried out every year, at the end of November, with interesting artistic activities.

Leave Coronda and double to the right to recapture the RN11. will find two towns in the route: Old Sallow to 26 km and Saint Took to 40 km . In the km 164 will enter for the Av. J.J. Paso to the center of Santa Fé
