Fuerte Sancti Spiritu

Leave the square May 25 in Rosario (km 0) toward the RN11 down the street Buenos Aires . In the km 7 will enter to Grenadier's city Baigorria. Take the street Orsetti to the left that ends in the Municipal Cemetery . In front of him Santa Fé is the cemetery of the Jewish, smaller community that contains the remains of the members of this faith that were expelled of Rosario's Jewish community to belong to the terrible Zvi Migdal, an organization dedicated to it treats her of white. These lands were part of the Jesuit stay San Miguel of the Carcarañal. After the Jesuit were expelled in 1767, the Franciscan order obtained this property in 1780. Given the state of deterioration of the original helmet, the Franciscan religious decided to build a convent in San Lorenzo 's place, well-known from the XVII century to exist a slope there to the river Paraná. The transfer to the new place happened in May of 1796.

The convent, for different reasons, didn't end until half-filled of the XIX century, as long as many of the equipment works date of the first decade of this century. Leave San Lorenzo (km 27) for the Av. San Martin. When passing the stream San Lorenzo San Martin, an important industrial pole Santa Fé will enter to Port. In June of 1527, the Pilot bigger than the King from Spain , Sebastian Gaboto, the strong Sancti founded Spiritu in the fork of the rivers Carcarañá and Coronda. There is good fishing.

At the end of the Coastal one Santa Fé is the replica of the Cruz of Irala, well-known as the Navigator's Cruz, in a beautiful mirador that dominates the fork of the rivers Carcarañá and Coronda. If the conditions allow it, since the access is only possible when the river is low, descend left by hand to a playada where a monolith indicates the place where it is believed that it was originally the strong Sancti Spiritu (SHN).

Recapturing the Coastal one, turn to the left for Belgrano to arrive to Gómez. At the end of this street there is a replica of the Strong Sancti Spiritu
